The Government of Kosovo has approved the proposal of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, for the immediate accommodation of Afghan refugees in Kosovo.
This is what Minister Sveçla announced through a post on Facebook, saying that this decision "besides the spirit of common interests within the framework of cooperation with the United States of America, it is also an attempt by the Republic of Kosovo to offer assistance respecting the principles of international law for providing assistance to the category of persons who are or may be in danger, their fundamental rights have been violated due to the war and conflict in Afghanistan".
He said that this effort to save lives is a moral obligation of the country and a human principle.
