Apple's announcement of the introduction of new technology that scans images for content that offends minors before they are stored in iCloud Photos has been met with controversy. WhatsApp has stated that the company will reject the integration of the program as it affects the privacy rights of the user.
"I read the information Apple put out yesterday and I'm concerned. I think it's the wrong approach and a step backwards for the privacy of people everywhere in the world. People have been asking if we will accept this system for WhatsApp. The answer is jo,” wrote app manager Will Cathcart.
In several other posts, Cathcart laid out his concerns, referring to the ability of government surveillance companies to change the program's role by giving it the potential to intrude on privacy.
"Can this scanner program on your cell phone be infallible?" The searchers have not been able to find out. Why not? How will we know how often mistakes may be infringing on people's privacy?, Cathcart posted./tvklan.al
