The murder of Marigona Osmani has shocked the entire Albanian public opinion.
The 18-year-old woman was raped to death by her husband, named Dardan Krivaqa. The latter has already been arrested by the police and is behind bars, but he was not an unknown name for justice, as he had registered problems earlier.
According to the Kosovar media, Krivaqa is suspected of hiding behind 122 criminal offenses that include: 11 cases of robbery, 93 cases of theft and serious theft, 1 case of rape, 12 cases of accepting stolen things, as well as five bodily injuries. The young man is said to have killed his wife because he suspected that she was cheating on him with his uncle's date.
Dardan Krivaqa's violent past
Dardan Krivaqa had also used violence against an ex-girlfriend he had in 2017. After the systematic violence he had used against her, on June 10, 2017, Krivaqa had attacked his ex-girlfriend's family member with a knife because he had tried to remove him from the violence that Krivaqa was causing to his family. Regarding this case, an investigation was opened for "slight bodily injury".
Krivaqa committed another murder at the end of 2020, against a police official. According to the same source, the police officer with the initials ZH noticed three people consuming narcotics and as soon as he approached them, Dardan Krivaqa put a sharp tool in his throat, in which case the police official suffered bodily injuries. For the same crime, the suspect Krivaqa was sentenced to 180 days in prison, including the time spent in detention.
