The Minister of Internal Affairs, Xelal Sveçla, reacted after the double murder that happened tonight in Peja. Sveçla has announced that they have arrested the third person involved in the incident.
"I was just informed that a sad event happened in the city of Peja where we have a double murder and an injured person, who has already been arrested. The safety and well-being of our citizens is essential. Therefore, we are committed to solving the case with all our capacities. Such incidents of gun violence must end. I am fully committed to ensuring that the Kosovo Police has all the necessary resources to solve the case and provide security for the citizens", he declared.
The minister expressed his condolences to the families of those killed. The spokesperson of the Kosovo Police for the Peja Region, Fadil Gashi, has confirmed for the Telegraph that gunshots were heard around 20:20 p.m. near the "Ali Hadri" Economic School, where two people were killed and one another injured.
Meanwhile, according to the first information, it is suspected that the case happened in a bar in Peja, where the victims first had a conflict among themselves, and then were shot with firearms. Astri Ademaj's brother was also injured. Also, two firearms were seized at the scene, which are suspected to have been used by the two victims against each other.
