
The Central Election Commission has announced that voting has now been completed in 25 diplomatic missions of Kosovo and that the voter turnout is 15.597 or 81.29 percent out of a total of 19.187 registered voters, KosovaPress reports.
CEC Chairman Kreshnik Radoniqi, at the third press conference, said that throughout today they have been in constant contact with diplomatic missions and that the voting process has generally been calm.
"So far, voting has been completed in 25 diplomatic missions in countries such as: Turkey, Germany, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Norway, Austria, Sweden, Slovenia, Denmark, Italy, Croatia, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Hungary and the United Kingdom. According to local time in Kosovo, at 01:00 after midnight, voting will end in 4 other missions, in the USA and Canada... According to data from 25 diplomatic missions where voting has closed, but also from the data at 13:00 from voting in the USA and Canada, out of 19.187 registered voters, 81.29 percent or 15,597 voters have voted. According to the procedures, these ballots will not be counted in diplomatic missions, but in the coming days they will be brought to Kosovo and their counting will take place in our country", said Radoniqi.
Radoniqi also had a message for the next day of the electoral process in the Republic of Kosovo.
"For tomorrow, I appeal to all polling station councils and municipal councils to be on duty and respect the electoral law and regulations of the CEC. We have a long day ahead of us tomorrow, a day where we will offer citizens the right to vote, so we hope that everyone is on duty and respects law and order," said Radoniqi.
