Suspicions that some vaccine lines contain metal fragments
Japan registers the third victim, who allegedly died after injecting doses of the Moderna vaccine. The Japanese Ministry of Health announced that a 49-year-old man died on August 11, a day after being injected with a dose of this vaccine. He had taken the dose that belonged to the same production lines imported by a Spanish company, which allegedly caused the death of 2 other people, during August.
For the first two deaths, experts ruled out the possibility that the doses may have been contaminated with metal residues harmful to health. The analysis showed that the metal fragments were made of stainless steel and most likely they could have been used by syringes.
According to the estimates of the World Health Organization, the health benefits of vaccines are many times greater than the side effects. Mass vaccination is keeping deaths at low levels in countries with advanced vaccination processes such as the US, Great Britain and the EU, where the wave of the Delta variant is showing signs of decline.
