The Deputy Ambassador of the United States to Serbia, Gabriel Escobar, on September 7, will assume the position of Deputy Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs at the US Department of State.
This was confirmed for Radio Free Europe by the US Embassy in Belgrade. He will also be the new envoy of the US State Department for the Western Balkans.
