Former Afghan President Ashraf Ghani's brother, named Hamshat Gahni, appears to have joined the Taliban.
At least this is claimed by the Taliban who have shared a video on social networks, where Hamshat Gahni appears in a cordial meeting with some of the Taliban leaders.
"Hashmat Ghani offers his support to the Taliban. He is considered a prominent Afghan politician and has previously said that the Taliban have an excellent security strategy, but they need to fight poverty and hunger as well as expand their relations with the world and their neighbors., it is said in the news made public by the new leaders of Afghanistan.
