Modern universities are transcending the traditional role of centers of education and are transforming into institutions that produce development, policy, and innovation.
In this regard, "Haxhi Zeka" University in Peja is strongly positioning itself towards the University 4.0 model, where teaching, scientific research, technology and entrepreneurship interact as an integrated whole.

UHZ has established functional relationships with the municipalities of Peja, Istog, Klina, Deçan, Gjakova, Malisheva, Rahovec and Junik. The university is involved in the planning processes of education, labor market and economic development.
At the same time, Dukagjini businesses see UHZ as a strategic partner. The university has created the Tourism and Hotel Market Barometer, the first in the country, and is developing the National Labor Market Barometer, an instrument that is expected to influence national employment policies.
