A tourist visiting Yellowstone National Park in the US was jailed after she broke away from the group to enter restricted areas such as acid thermal baths. In these water sources, a man ended up being boiled alive and then dissolved by acid.

The 26-year-old woman separated from the group and with two other people accompanying her went to the geyser and the thermal pool in the park, causing great concern. She received a one-week jail sentence and a total fine of $2040.

"Safe areas in the geyser basins protect visitors and the delicate thermal formations. The soil is fragile and thin, while the scalding water below the surface can cause severe burns. While a prison sentence may seem harsh, it's better than a stint in a hospital burn unit", said one of the representatives of the park authorities.

In 2016, a 23-year-old man died after slipping, falling into the scalding water, and then his body was dissolved by the high acid present in the water, leaving no chance for the rescue team.

In Yellowstone Park, the water temperature is usually 93 degrees Celsius, but there are not few cases when it reaches the boiling temperature, 100 degrees./tvklan.al
