Trump's message to Americans: I am fighting for you, I have inherited a disaster

US President Donald Trump said he inherited a difficult situation in the country 11 months ago, but that his administration is changing the course of developments. He made these comments during his address to the nation.

"We were overrun with illegal immigrants, transgender people in women's sports, and we had the worst trade deals," Trump said, criticizing the policies of his predecessor, Joe Biden. According to him, the situation has changed significantly: "Now you have a president who fights for the American people and we have already achieved great things."

Speaking about the economy, Trump said prices are falling rapidly, although he acknowledged there is still work to be done. He stressed that wages are growing faster than inflation and that the country, according to him, "a year ago was dead and bankrupt, and now it is not."

The US president highlighted the role of trade tariffs, which he described as his "favorite word", saying that they have influenced the increase in investment. Trump mentioned the figure of about 18 trillion dollars of investment announced in the United States in recent months.

He also announced the creation of a “warrior dividend” for U.S. military service members, who he said will receive a $1,776 check for Christmas. “They’ve already been sent,” Trump said.

At the end of the speech, the president announced that he will soon announce a new Federal Reserve chairman, who, according to him, believes in low interest rates. This announcement is expected to be made next year. Trump also announced an aggressive housing market reform, which will be introduced in 2026.
