A minibus collides with a freight train
A freight train and a minibus collided in northwestern Turkey, killing six people.
The tragic event, in which 7 other people were injured, happened after the minibus crossed the tracks even though the traffic lights were red and the barriers were down when crossing the tracks.
All the victims were in the minibus that was transporting the workers of a textile factory, who had finished the night shift.

Footage from road cameras shows the minibus driver trying to maneuver before the freight train collided with him, sending him on the tracks.
In 2018, 25 people died when a passenger train derailed in Turkey due to heavy rain.
Last year, the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers of Turkey stated that railway accidents in the country were three times higher than the global average.tvklan.al
