The most active volcano in Europe, Etna, has erupted again in the early hours of today.
According to Italian media, during the night there was a gradual increase in Strombolian activity from the Southeast crater, which, accompanied by loud noises, created an explosion.

The new Strombolian activity was accompanied at dawn by loud noises also heard in Catania and by the emission of ash that falls in the foothills and is pushed by the wind to the coast of Acireale.

At 8 a.m. on Monday, Catania Airport reported on Twitter possible delays in the arrival and departure of flights due to the new eruption of Etna.
