A strong earthquake struck Mexico last night, shaking the capital and other surrounding areas.
According to the Mexican Seismological Service, the earthquake had a magnitude of 7.1 and was epicentered in Acapulco.
The seismic tremors were felt as far as the capital Mexico. One person has been reported to have lost his life.
Many buildings were cracked and damaged, while the voltage and lighting poles on the street were knocked down.
After the strong earthquake, the seismological service registered another 92 smaller earthquakes in the following hours.
At the epicenter of the earthquake, there was a disconnection of electricity and telephones. 1.6 citizens were left without electricity in Mexico, Guerrero, Oaxana and Morelos.
The health authorities confirmed that 1 person died from the strong seismic tremors, while no one was injured and no one was hospitalized. /tvklan.al
