The Taliban fire guns into the air to disperse the crowds

The repression of women and the removal of their rights has landed the Taliban in trouble. Protests for women's rights have been joined by hundreds of Kabul citizens, after the killing of a female guard by the Taliban on Sunday. They have turned violent, so much so that militants had to fire guns into the air to disperse the crowds.

Protesters also raised slogans against Pakistan, as it is believed that the secret services of the country neighboring Afghanistan are the main supporters of the Taliban with weapons and funds. Women's rights activists have been quite active with their protests since the Taliban overran all of Afghanistan in mid-August.

The Taliban have violently suppressed many protests, while warning of a reduction in the rights they have had during the 20 years of American presence in Afghanistan, with the imposition of Sharia, the Islamic constitution.

So, Taliban leaders announced that they now have control of the last rebel region of Panjshir, declaring the end of the battle with local militants. However, representatives of the anti-Taliban resistance reject claims that Panjshir has fallen under their rule.
