A 4-year-old child was shot dead while driving in Tampa, USA, in an incident that police described as intentional. The child, whose identity has not been released by authorities, was in a vehicle driving on E Hillsborough Avenue near N 43rd Street when the passenger of another vehicle opened fire on the juvenile.
According to Yahoo! News, the serious incident happened around midnight on Sunday. The child was rushed to the hospital, but died a short time later due to his injuries.
The police did not give details about the gender of the child, nor about the people with whom he was traveling in the vehicle. The only thing authorities said was that the incident did not appear to be random.
According to the Florida Department of Police, there were 2020 homicides across Florida in 1,285, up 260 from 2019. In July of this year alone, 23 murders and 230 injuries were recorded in Tampa./tvklan.al
