Earlier in the afternoon, Ukrainian emergency services reported 30 injuries, including five children, due to Russian shelling in the city of Zaporizhia, where, among other things, "an apartment building, a house and an educational institution" were hit.
Images from the affected area, taken by the French News Agency (AFP), show firefighters battling flames in an eight-story building.
According to Fedorov, two people were also injured when their car was hit by a Russian drone in the Kusukhum commune, south of Zaporizhia.
The city of Zaporizhia, which had a population of around 710,000 before the Russian invasion began in February 2022, is frequently bombarded by advancing Russian forces, with the front line of the conflict now less than 30 kilometers away.
