
The University Clinical Hospital Service of Kosovo (SHSKUK) said on Sunday that in general hospitals in Kosovo, as well as in clinics for the treatment of coronavirus, there are 858 patients, 776 of them with coronavirus.
According to SHSKUK, 32 patients are in serious condition and 664 are being treated with oxygen therapy. Health authorities in Kosovo have registered on August 21, eight victims and 2,279 new cases of coronavirus.
This was the highest daily number of infected people in Kosovo, since the pandemic broke out. Since March 13, 2020, when the first cases of infection were registered, the health authorities in Kosovo have registered over 125,000 patients with this virus.
Of them, over 2,300 have died. There are 18,287 active cases. From August 20, new measures to combat the pandemic began to be implemented in Kosovo. Parties and weddings have been canceled, the hours of gastronomy businesses have been reduced, and the requirement for proof of vaccination has been added to gain access to a host of activities.
