How is the situation in Kosovo, many patients with COVID-19 in serious condition

In Kosovo, there has been an increase in cases of patients in intensive care due to the disease COVID-19. On Saturday, 73 patients were reported, while on Sunday (September 5) this number increased to 87. The University Hospital and Clinical Service of Kosovo (SHSKUK) said that in the hospitals and clinics where patients with coronavirus are treated, 1.207 patients are lying, of which 1.101 are confirmed with coronavirus.

Of them, 1.026 are being treated with oxygen therapy. "In the University Clinical Center of Kosovo, there are 418 bedridden patients, 413 of them positive for COVID-19, 354 with treatment through oxygen therapy. There are 789 patients in general hospitals, 688 confirmed with positive COVID-19 and 672 with oxygen therapy", the announcement states.

On Saturday, the Ministry of Health announced that 21 new victims of the coronavirus have been registered. The health authorities have also registered 1.278 people infected with the new coronavirus. The figure was published after testing 10.609 samples. There are over 26 active cases. The Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, has not ruled out the possibility of new measures before September 13, until the last measures taken by the government are in force.
