The Ministry of Health (MOH) has announced that Minister Arben Vitia has invited the heads of the country's health institutions and stakeholders in the implementation of measures against COVID-19 to a meeting today.
In the press release, it is stated that the meeting will discuss the implementation of new anti-COVID-19 measures.
"In this meeting, the epidemiological situation in the country and the undertaking of other anti-COVID-19 measures will be discussed," the announcement states.
Otherwise, weeks ago, the Government tightened the anti-COVID measures, where with these new measures, masks were returned, and entry to weddings and nightclubs from August 20 will only be done with proof of vaccination or the COVID-19 test.
In the announcement of the Government a few days ago, the possibility that during this time there will be other measures is not excluded.
"The government decided new measures, as we warned before because the Delta variant has been dominant in European countries, the inclusion of this virus in our country has been inevitable, and we ask for cooperation from the citizens. Among the measures taken today, we highlight:
From August 20 to September 10, entry to discotheques, to premises where family parties, mass gatherings, other festivals are held, which have capacities up to 100 people, is allowed only if customers have a proof such as vaccination certificates, PCR test negative, evidence that the person has passed the coronavirus, or a positive antibody result.
From August 20 to September 10, businesses that are in contact with customers must have one of the proofs mentioned above.
After the decision, it is forbidden to enter public institutions without masks and it is mandatory to wear masks in those premises. This is mandatory", it was said at the Government's press conference.
Otherwise, there has been an increase in cases of COVID-19 in recent months in Kosovo, where 740 new cases were confirmed on Monday.
