Washington has decided to reward all adults over 21 who get vaccinated with a marijuana cigarette.
As part of an effort called "Joints for Jabs," the state's Liquor and Cannabis Board says it is temporarily allowing licensed cannabis sellers to donate a cigarette to every adult who gets vaccinated against the deadly virus to encourage people to get vaccinated.
State officials said the announcement came after they received numerous requests from cannabis retailers to support vaccination efforts with promotions.
The state also previously allowed businesses to offer free booze to customers with proof of vaccination.
In California, the state announced a $116.5 million lottery, with vaccinated residents eligible to win cash prizes of $50,000 or $1,5 million each.
Los Angeles County has also given away Dodgers and LAFC season tickets and gift cards.
The Biden administration has also partnered with numerous public and private sector businesses to provide incentives for Americans to get vaccinated.
