The Italian president has repeated his call to be vaccinated
Italian President Sergio Mattarella has repeated his call to be vaccinated against Covid, as the only solution to defeat the pandemic.
"Vaccination is the tool that the scientific community quickly gave us to defeat the virus and is allowing us to overcome not only the health consequences, but also the economic and social ones.".
He also condemned the protests against the health passport where he emphasized the fact that individual freedom cannot be used to avoid the vaccine.
"Threats of violence and violence itself must be sanctioned with appropriate severity to protect those who have adopted responsible behavior.".
While he was at the University of Pavia, he stated that apart from those who cannot get the vaccine for health reasons, there is no excuse for the others.
The Italian head of state also noted the recovery of the Italian economy, thanks to the management of the pandemic.
