The Speaker of the Assembly, Gramoz Ruçi, expresses his condolences for the passing away of the former Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Kolë Berisha, at the age of 73.
In his message, Ruçi emphasizes that Kolë Berisha was a visionary politician with integrity, a symbol of wisdom, tolerance, dedication, political and national action, and an open-minded, integrity and prudent speaker.
"It was with despair that I received the news of the death of the outstanding personality, the former Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Kolë Berisha. Kolë Berisha was a multifaceted personality: influential teacher and educator, outstanding writer, man of political action, freedom fighter, tireless social activist and inspirer of tolerance and understanding, respected deputy and authoritarian speaker. Kolë Berisha served Kosovo with his vision, leadership and energies, persecution by the Serbian regime, books and literary work, contribution to LDK and political life, sowing and spreading the spirit of political and human reconciliation, as a tireless deputy and finally also as Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo. Kolë Berisha was a symbol of wisdom, tolerance, dedication, political and national action and an open-minded, integrity and prudent speaker. On behalf of the Assembly of Albania and in my own name, I express my condolences to the family, institutions and the people of Kosovo for this great loss," writes the Speaker of the Assembly, Mr. Gramoz Ruçi.
