Parku i Gërmia reopens in Pristina, Municipality: We have not fallen on the tracks of the bear

Germia Park in Pristina has reopened a day after it was closed after citizens reported seeing a bear.

The municipality of Pristina announces that they have not found the bear's tracks, even though checks have been carried out in Germi, Butovc, the area of ​​Antenave and Kolovicë.

It is not yet known whether or not there was really a bear in that park, but from today in the early hours of the morning citizens can visit it freely.

Gërmia Park reopens

Dear citizens,

After the assessment of the Emergency team and the work on the ground in the Graveyard Park, it was decided to reopen the Graveyard Park to citizens.

The Emergency Team has checked the terrain including Gërmi, Butovci, the area of ​​Antenat as well as in Kolovicë and they have not found any traces of the Bear, which the citizens reported to have been seen in Gërmi.

Therefore, as of this morning, the Park has been reopened.

On Sunday during the afternoon hours, the Police received information from the citizens that a Bear was observed in the park of Gërmia near the areas where the citizens usually frequent.

We confirmed that the Bear was not part of the "Bear Park" and in order to avoid any potential danger, we decided to close the Gremia Park to citizens, pending an assessment by professional teams.
