European Parliament member Thijs Reuten has welcomed the EU's decision to lift measures against Kosovo, with some of them set to begin soon and the remainder in January next year.
Through a post on X, Reuten said that the European Union's policy towards Kosovo has so far been a "disaster", but now is the opportunity to resume the country's journey towards the EU.
"Finally! Congratulations Kosovo. What a disaster this EU policy has been. Now we can resume Kosovo's European journey," Reuten wrote, adding that the next step is to process Kosovo's application for membership, which has been pending for years.
This comment comes at a time when Kosovo seeks to advance relations with the European Union and restart stalled European integration processes. /Telegraph/
