New "Guinness" world record Rome-North Cape

Over 4 400 kilometers on the road between Rome and the North Cape in less than 46 hours.

Challenges and records mainly focused on driving a Ferrari F8 to the exact time of 45 hours 20 minutes and 37 seconds.

The protagonists of the 2021 "Guinness" record are Fabio Barone and his co-driver, Alessandro Tedino.

The Italian crew, aboard a Ferrari F8 "Tributo", had set off on Saturday September 4 from the "Via dei Fori Imperiali" in Rome with the aim of covering 4 kilometers in less time than estimated by the map and navigation system of designed by "Mountain View".

With 11 tank top-ups along the way, the two Italians crossed most of Europe without ever exceeding the speed limits set on the route and were able to unleash their Ferrari's performance only on the legendary German autobahns.

The journey was continuously monitored by a team of 40 technicians and professionals, who followed the crew live throughout the adventure.

A project dreamed of for two years, which entered the "Guinness" book of records.

"The idea was inspired by a company in 1953, in which four brave young men aboard a Fiat Balilla left Rome and reached the Northern Cape returning to the capital after 45 days of travel," explains Barone.
