The International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) has published on Tuesday the list of the defenders with the most goals for 2025.
At the top of this list is Brazilian Reinaldo, left-back for Brazilian club Mirassol, with 14 goals scored.
Behind him, with 11 goals each, are Paris Saint-Germain's Achraf Hakimi and Drita's Besnik Krasniqi. Eight of Krasniqi's 11 goals have come from the penalty spot, showing his precision and decisive role in the team.
Krasniqi, the 35-year-old who is a pillar of the Drita team and its captain, has contributed not only to the championship, where Drita was declared champion, but also to European competitions.
He played with Drita in the Conference League, where the team reached the playoffs, making an extraordinary contribution in defense and scoring decisive goals.
This ranking only takes into account players from the world's top 100 leagues, where Krasniqi has also left behind well-known defenders such as Nicolás Otamendi of Benfica and Argentina.
