The public prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecution Office in Skopje has completed the evidence collection procedure and has filed an indictment with the Basic Criminal Court in Skopje against a person for the criminal offenses “Violence” under Article 386, paragraph 3 in conjunction with paragraph 1, as well as “Obstruction of an official person in the performance of an official act” under Article 382, paragraph 3 in conjunction with paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
"On December 10, the accused committed serious violence against two journalists at the online daily news outlet "Infomax", as well as against a guest on their show, thus preventing them from carrying out their professional activities.
While the show “Teshki Muabeti” was being broadcast live on YouTube and social media, the accused wrote offensive and threatening comments to one of the journalists due to criticism directed at the Prime Minister on the show. The accused then came to the address where the studio is located, broke the entrance gate and broke both the front door of the building and the studio door, resulting in the interruption of the show.
One of the injured parties tried to stop the accused from entering the studio, but he continued to shout and threaten them with his life, cursed and insulted those present, and even tried to physically attack them, waving his arms and throwing a glass at them. The injured parties called the police, while in the meantime they managed to calm the accused down and take him out into the street," the Skopje Public Prosecutor's Office announced.
They say that with the violent actions of the accused, they caused a feeling of insecurity and fear among the injured parties and other people present.
"The medical examination of the accused showed that despite his previous mental health condition, he committed the criminal offense with intent. Therefore, the public prosecutor submitted a proposal for the extension of the previously determined detention measure in order to secure him during the procedure," the Skopje-based Public Prosecutor's Office added./Telegraph/
