Heavy rains cause significant damage
Weather The bad weather has also created a catastrophic situation on the northeastern coast of Spain.
The heavy rains hit the town of Alkanari, in the Catalonia region, hard.
There were floods in the coastal areas, where vehicles were swept away by the raging flood waters.
Emergency teams came to the aid of dozens of drivers, while evacuating hundreds of residents from endangered areas.
