A derelict mansion that was once used as an asylum after the Second World War is now on the market for £1.5m after a £1m price drop.
This giant house located in Ruthin, North Wales is surrounded by 23 acres of land and features a carved oak staircase, Gothic architecture and a high walled garden area.
The historic building dates back to the 16th Century when it was home to the wealthy Salesbury family.
In 1937, it opened as an asylum for 87 patients from the North Wales County Psychiatric Hospital to provide relief for the nearby overcrowded Asylum before it closed permanently in 1989.
However in recent years the property has become known for its spooky reputation, with ghost hunters claiming to have been attacked by the demonic spirits that lurk within.
