A convicted pedophile has been jailed again after he said his sexual interest in children will not go away until he dies.
Alan Cherry, 64, from Rainhill, Merseyside, was jailed for three years and two months. The court was told he sent sexual messages to two girls aged around 12 and 13, the Liverpool Echo reports.
He said: I have a problem, there is no cure for me. The only way to heal is death.
Cherry has two previous convictions for sexual offenses and was jailed for eight months last year.
He was first caught having sex with an undercover police officer, who he believed was a 13-year-old girl, in 2017.
When his home was raided, a trove of indecent images - including of children as young as three - were discovered. He was given a three-year community order so he could attend a sex offender treatment program in 2018.
However, in October 2019 he was back online, using Kik Messenger to send pictures of his penis to a fake profile of a 14-year-old girl created by pedophile hunters.
Cherry was jailed for eight months and hit with a new five-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SPO) in March 2020.
Although he is constantly under surveillance by the authorities, he continues to be obsessed with little girls and opens fake addresses on the Internet to get to know them. /tvklan.al
