
The new pedestrian bridge over the Ibar River was inaugurated in Mitrovica, in a ceremony attended by the Mayor of Mitrovica, Faton Peci, the acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and the Acting Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, Hysen Durimishi.
According to the Municipality's announcement, this infrastructure work represents an important investment for the city, increasing pedestrian safety, improving urban connectivity and contributing to the overall development of Mitrovica.
After the inauguration, Prime Minister Kurti visited the Municipality of Mitrovica, where he held a meeting with Mayor Peci. On this occasion, Kurti congratulated Peci on assuming his new position as mayor and expressed the readiness of the Government of Kosovo for close institutional cooperation in the implementation of projects of importance for the city.
During the meeting, the development priorities of Mitrovica, the infrastructure projects in progress and the need for greater coordination between the local and central levels were discussed, with the aim of improving public services and increasing the well-being of citizens.
The Municipality of Mitrovica emphasized that it will continue its commitment to building sustainable partnerships with central institutions and to implementing projects that bring sustainable development and concrete benefits to citizens. /Telegrafi/
