The former prime minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, has given some advice to Albin Kurti about the pandemic.
Haradinaj says that there is no need for total closure of the country, nor uncontrolled management.
He adds that he has previously called for a controlled opening with adequate measures that do not allow the spread of the virus, but allow the economy to function freely.
In the meantime, the former prime minister has placed emphasis on the mainly financial support that some sectors should have and the expansion of health capacities.
STATUS FROM RAMUSH HARADINAJ
Every suggestion, request and recommendation of me and the Alliance for the management of the pandemic has been given by analyzing many indicators, especially our health capacities, the level of economic development and the severe operating conditions of the private sector.
We have never asked for uncontrolled operation, on the contrary, we have asked for a controlled opening with adequate measures, which do not allow the spread of the virus and do not close the economy, as well as relief measures through direct financing for any sector and economic activities that have difficulties!
So, controlled management, with restrictive measures, with maximum engagement of state bodies and financial facilitation of economic activities and of directly engaged institutional actors.
Based on the apparent deterioration of the situation and the adequate response to the newly created situation, the Alliance recommends new measures and activities. In short, we recommend measures and actions in three dimensions:
Economy:
- sectoral financial subsidy for directly affected activities;
– subsidizing production activities;
- export subsidy; AND
– subsidizing the service industry, potential for export and employment.
Operational activities:
– Expansion of health, professional and technical capacities;
– Engagement of volunteers;
– Mobile teams for home treatment;
– Treatment with stay in private capacities;
- Supply of necessary medicines for all those affected; AND
- Opening of temporary hospitals.
Financial support for engaged personnel:
– Allowances for health personnel;
– Allowances for the police and inspectors; AND
– Fees for volunteers.
NO total shutdown, NO uncontrolled management!
