UN: More than 100 civilians killed in drone strikes in Sudan

At least 104 civilians, including 43 children, have been killed in multiple drone strikes in Sudan's Kordofan region since December 4.

The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights issued a statement on this.

One of the attacks targeted a kindergarten and a hospital in Kalogi, South Kordofan, killing at least 89 people, including 8 women and 43 children.

The head of the UN mission expressed concern about the escalation of fighting between the Sudanese Armed Forces, the Rapid Reaction Forces and the Sudan People's Liberation Movement. He called on all parties to the conflict and influential states to immediately reach a ceasefire and prevent further atrocities.

Furthermore, on December 13, a drone attack on a base in Kadugli, South Kordofan, killed six UN peacekeepers.

On December 14, a hospital in Dilling, South Kordofan, was hit by a drone attack, killing at least six people and wounding 12 others, including medical staff.
