From helping families in need to health workers, Albin Kurti announces the decisions taken by the government of Kosovo

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, announced the decisions taken today at the government meeting, divided into 20 points.

Kurti, through a post on Facebook, said that "today we took a step towards fulfilling one of the Government's priorities, which foresees children's allowances, as a form of contribution to increasing their social well-being.

"Through the implementation of the measures of the Economic Revival Package, we are continuing to support the families and workers who suffered from the COVID-19 pandemic," Kurti wrote.

Among the decisions taken is the allocation of 12 million euros for families in need, of which 4 million for the support of families that lost the head of the family due to the pandemic; 1 million for providing food vouchers for families in need; 7 million for the payment of babies and child allowances.

Kurti says that for the health workers who are committed without saving in the protection of our health, we allocated 2 million and 700 thousand euros, through which they will be able to receive a net supplement of 10 percent of the basic salary, but not less than 60 euros , for the months of August, September and October 2021.

"We approved the decision on the allocation of budget funds for the implementation of the measure for subsidizing investment loans for local producers. In order to improve and improve the efficiency of the social assistance system, as well as the development of active measures of the labor market, we reviewed the initiative for the "Project for the Reform of the Social Assistance System in Kosovo", the value of which is expected to reach up to 47 million euros ". Providing support to victims who suffer from violence of any form is a responsibility and an obligation. That's why we approved the Draft Law for the amendment and completion of the Law on Free Legal Aid for victims of domestic violence and other forms of violence, including persons sexually violated during the war in Kosovo in 1998-99" - concludes Kurti.
