Seven Afghan citizens have lost their lives outside the cordon of the Kabul airport due to large crowds of people. The news was announced by the British Ministry of Defence.
"The conditions are extremely challenging, but we are doing everything we can to manage the situation as safely as possible.", said a spokesman for the British Ministry.
Thousands of Afghans are gathered outside Kabul airport in an attempt to leave Afghanistan after the Taliban took control of the country.
The US and other countries are trying to evacuate their own citizens and qualified Afghan colleagues.
About 4500 US military troops are temporarily in control of Kabul airport along with 900 British soldiers to ensure security for evacuation flights. /tvklan.al
