The situation in Gaza remains problematic. The country has been devastated by constant attacks and now citizens are also facing bad weather.
Authorities have also denounced the limitation of shelter supplies, despite the harsh winter conditions.
"A Palestinian newborn has died from the cold in the Gaza Strip," local authorities were quoted as saying by Al Jazeera.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza said the two-week-old baby, Mohammed Khalil Abu al-Khair, died after being treated for severe hypothermia, caused by the extreme cold that has gripped Gaza.
Al Jazeera reports that basic security in Gaza has been "systematically dismantled" as a result of the war.
