The country's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Timço Mucunski, held a working meeting with US Deputy Secretary of State, Christopher Landau, on the sidelines of the NATO foreign ministers' meeting in Brussels, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.
The talks addressed topics related to the US role in the stability and development of the Western Balkans, with an emphasis on cooperation within NATO and its importance for collective security.
"We confirmed the close and friendly relations, as well as the strong and constructive cooperation with the US as our strategic partner. We exchanged views on the potential for further cooperation and confirmed our readiness to deepen it. We discussed the role of the US in the stability and development of the Western Balkans.
"We also emphasized cooperation within NATO and its importance for collective security. I emphasized our contribution to the Alliance and our continued action as a constructive factor in the region," said Mucunski./Telegraph/
