MUP: Criminal charges filed against six drivers from Tetovo, transporting passengers without the appropriate license

The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that on Wednesday, from 11:00 to 13:30, police officers from the Tetovo Public Transport Police Station carried out a control operation to detect and sanction drivers who provide public transport of passengers without a license. During the control of the “Ford” passenger vehicle with Tetovo license plates, driven by KI (67) from the village of Kamjan in Tetovo, on the “Ilinden” street in Tetovo, it was found that he was providing public transport of passengers without a license issued by the competent authority.

Also, on the “Iliria” road in Tetovo, five drivers were found performing public passenger transport without a public transport license issued by the competent authority. It was found that HK (48) from Tetovo, who was driving a “Touran” vehicle with Tetovo license plates, was performing public transport without a license, as well as EM (49) from Tetovo, who was driving a “Golf” vehicle with Tetovo license plates, BR (71) from the village of Bërvenica in Tetovo, who was driving a “Hyundai” vehicle with Tetovo license plates, AD (22) from the village of Falishë in Tetovo, who was driving a “Mercedes” vehicle with Tetovo license plates and FB (51) from the village of Xhepçisht in Tetovo, who was driving a “Golf” vehicle with Tetovo license plates.


After the cases are fully documented, the relevant charges will be filed against them under Article 284-a of the Criminal Code. On Wednesday, a control of vehicles and drivers was carried out in the Tetovo SPB area. During the control, a total of 32 drivers were sanctioned for illegal parking, while 18 vehicles were towed with the special “spider” vehicle. 27 other types of traffic violations were also sanctioned.
