The defense of the former President of Kosovo has requested the dismissal of Emilio Gatti, judge of the Special Court. This request comes after the head of the Special Ekaterina Trendafilova appointed Gatti after the dismissal of Kai Ambos, the judge who gave the opportunity to investigate the freedom of the former president.
According to the defense lawyer, his appointment by Trendafilova was done unexpectedly and without legal basis.
Thaçi's lawyer explained how Jack Smith informed Trendafilova that Thaçi should not be released because he easily influences witnesses.
