The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of Kosovo, Donika Gërvalla, has announced that she is in the last days of quarantine, after being infected with COVID-19. Gërvalla made this clarification after it was reported in the media that she is in serious condition as a result of being infected with the coronavirus.
Among other things, Gërvalla says in her post that she is "as healthy as an apple", adding that thanks to the vaccine she received, she was lucky enough not to face serious complications.
"Dear friends, to all of you who have wished me a speedy recovery, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I am already in the last days of quarantine due to the infection with Covid-19 and I am healthy as an apple, working every day with a lot of will to finish at least part of the many jobs that await us. Thanks to the vaccine I received, I was lucky enough not to face serious complications", writes Gërvalla.
She further adds that technology has made it possible for her to perform most of her tasks remotely, and therefore emphasizes that even during the quarantine, she used the opportunity to have, among other things, many important conversations with colleagues from all over the world.
"...while not far from last night I had a very interesting and fruitful conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel".
"The challenges of this pandemic are great and affect many aspects of our lives. It is important not to forget at any moment the families who have lost their loved ones or are faced with serious complications of their relatives and who need our solidarity and help", she adds.
In the end, Gërvalla appealed for vaccination. "By vaccinating ourselves and helping to vaccinate our friends and relatives, each of us can make a valuable contribution to overcoming this challenge, which has involved the whole world and, as part of this world, also Kosovo".
"Thank you very much once again for the care shown and see you next week", she concludes.
