Kosovar Minister: We expect 150 thousand doses of AstraZeneca from Germany

The Minister of Health of Kosovo, Arben Vitia, announced in a press conference that the country has sufficient quantities of vaccines against COVID-19. Vitia announced that last night the new contingent of 53 thousand doses of the Pfizer vaccine from the signed contract arrived.

"Last night, as we warned, the contingent of 53 vaccines from Pfizer from the generated contract arrived. By the end of the week, we expect another 150 doses of AstraZencea from Germany to arrive," Vitia said.

He added that in the third quarter of the contract with Pfizer, 622 vaccines will arrive, some of which arrived during July and August. "We also expect the achievement of over 450 thousand doses of Pfizer from COVAX, part of the donation from the USA. We have enough Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines. New terms have been generated to be vaccinated", said Vitia.

The minister has again asked the citizens to get vaccinated. "Don't choose which vaccine to get in a situation like this, the important thing is to get vaccinated as soon as possible", said the minister. Vitia added that the list of 1 new health workers is expected to be published soon.
