ISIS takes over the attacks
More than 60 people, 12 of them American servicemen, have been killed by explosions in Afghanistan. At the center of the attacks near the Kabul airport were Afghan citizens trying to leave for the United States or American service citizens.
The attacks took place near the Abbey Gate of Kabul airport and near a hotel known to be a British base. After the kamikaze explosions, gunfire began, causing dozens more deaths.

Terrorist attacks by ISIS had been predicted by the intelligence agencies of several Western countries, which had urged their citizens to stay away from Kabul airport. American General Frank McKenzie said that the attacks were carried out by ISIS fighters who, after the explosions, fired weapons at soldiers and civilians.
McKenzie said he could coordinate with the Taliban on any other risks. The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack at the Kabul airport today. The BBC writes that they confirmed the attack through a message on the Telegram application.
For more than a week, the Taliban have taken control of the country, pushing thousands of Afghans to flee to the Kabul airport. Until August 1 is the deadline left according to the pact between the USA and the Taliban, as more than 31 citizens have been evacuated so far.
