Dead Island 3, in which players fight zombies, is still in development, Dambuster Studios financial documents published on social media revealed.
These documents suggest that the game will be released in 2028, which the gaming community is eagerly awaiting.
The documentation says that development is "moving at a rapid pace" and that "parts of the game are now in early production."
These parts are said to include feature and world design, narrative, and character design.
The idea of a Dead Island 3 makes a lot of sense given the success of the second installment.
The company has sold more than 4 million copies of the game as of 2023.
It's also worth noting that a 2028 release date would mean a five-year gap between the two sequels.
This is nothing for the Dead Island franchise.
