The Lithuanian government has declared a state of emergency due to balloons launched from Belarus violating the country's airspace.
"The Lithuanian government declared a state of emergency on December 9 due to the threat to public security posed by balloons smuggled from Belarus," the agency said.
Lithuanian authorities have accused Belarus of allowing smugglers to use weather probes to smuggle cigarettes across the border.
