LDK denounces the "WhatsApp affair" and demands immediate investigation

The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), in a press conference today, denounced what it calls one of the most serious scandals of the current government, called the "WhatsApp affair".

In a press conference, LDK spokesman Besian Mustafa and Presidency member Berat Rukiqi said that decision-making in the state of Kosovo is being done by private WhatsApp groups, where employment, boards, and public decisions are divided among party militants, while qualified professionals and honest youth are excluded.

According to them, former Prime Minister Albin Kurti is primarily responsible for this structure, while Dejona Mihaili acted as the operational boss of a parapolitical structure, without any official function.

"VV's message to youth is brutal: if you are not a militant, you have no chance," it was said at the conference, adding that institutions have been transformed into party branches and the state into private property.

Berat Rukiqi stressed that the WhatsApp affair constitutes open state capture, with serious consequences for citizens, citing public enterprises under party control, directed boards, and political influence on public decisions, including issues such as energy bills and citizens' trust in the state.

LDK demands an immediate investigation, full transparency, and the liberation of institutions from WhatsApp governance, emphasizing that Kosovo deserves a legal, just, and open state for citizens.

The party also announced the return of hope for the country on December 28th.

The affair of the WhatsApp discussions involving the acting Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, regarding the hiring of Faruk Mujka as head of Ibër-Lepenc and coordination with Vetëvendosje member, Dejona Mihali, was published yesterday by the medium "VOX Kosova". /Telegrafi/
