YouTube Short started as an app in India last year but has expanded to 26 countries and many more are expected to be added to the list.
Similar to Tik Tok, Shorts allows users to make 15-minute videos, which you can accompany with music.
And one of the advantages of Youtube Shorts is that it is integrated within the ecosystem of YouTube and Google, which makes it easily accessible to everyone.
While YouTube is trying hard to emulate TikTok's format, the latter is experimenting with formats that are closer to YouTube's traditional focus.
The maximum video length has recently been tripled to three minutes for all users.
