The director of SHSKUK in Kosovo, (University Hospital and Clinical Service of Kosovo), Valbon Krasniqi, says that the new variant of Covid-19 has not yet been identified in his country. Finally, several cases were identified in the Balkans with the 'Mu' variant.
"For now in Kosovo, it has not been identified and we have no information about suspicions about any such possible variant. We have read and seen that maybe it can also be in the Balkans or in Greece, there were several cases with the new variant", says Krasniqi.
"In these moments, we primarily have to fight this pandemic and epidemiological wave and overcome this wave that we have", he added for RTV21.
"Regardless of any other possible variants that will appear in the coming period in the coming months as long as it belongs to the family of coronaviruses and as long as it spreads in airborne forms and attacks the respiratory organs the prevention and combat measures will remain the same", Krasniqi said.
