Kosovo is included in the list of countries with a high risk of COVID-19, some conditions to enter Germany

Authorities in Germany have warned that the spread of COVID-19 could continue to lead to restrictions on international air traffic and travel and damage to public life.

In this regard, citing the increase in the number of new cases of COVID-19 in Kosovo, the authorities have announced the changes, which are expected to enter into force on August 22 of this year.

Thus, as stated in a published document, "Kosovo has been severely affected by COVID-19. Recently, the number of infections has increased significantly. Kosovo has been classified as a high risk area with effect from August 22, 2021".

Therefore, it is announced that "foreign nationals over the age of 11, regardless of country of origin and route of travel, must present a current negative PCR test after entry (sample taken no more than 72 hours before entry)" .

However, as further stated, travelers who have proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 for at least two weeks do not need a negative test upon entry.

In addition to Kosovo, the German media write, the Telegraph reports, due to the increase in the number of infections from COVID-19, the federal government is classifying Crete and other Greek holiday islands, such as Rhodes, Kos, Mykonos or Naxos, as areas with high risk from next tuesday.

Also, North Macedonia and parts of Ireland belong to this category. While Brazil is no longer a virus variant area, it is also a high-risk area.
