Warns it will expand its nuclear program
North Korea appears to have restarted operation of its main nuclear reactor used to create nuclear weapons.
The news was announced by the UN Nuclear Agency, as North Korea openly threatens to expand its nuclear arsenal amid hushed diplomatic relations with the United States of America.

North Korea has faced a series of international sanctions over its nuclear weapons and missile programs. The International Nuclear Energy Agency in its annual report says that there have been indications of the start of reactor work since the beginning of July.
The Yongbyon complex, which North Korea calls the "heart" of its nuclear program and research, has been at the center of international concern for decades. In early 2019, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un offered to dismantle the entire complex if he won broad sanctions relief during a meeting with former President Donald Trump. But the Americans rejected Kim's offer because it would only be a partial surrender of his nuclear capability.
In recent months, North Korea has warned that it will expand its nuclear program if the United States does not withdraw its "hostile" policy towards the North.
